Day 3

Today was a little overcast, so we visited some friends (3 families that went to the pastors college with Dave) in Corolla who happened to be vacationing the same week as us! There were 17 kids in the house with the addition of our 6!!! Needless to say, it was a little crazy. It was so nice to see everyone, some of whom we haven't seen for years. We went to the beach for a little while this afternoon and then went to the indoor pool and baby pool in our development with the Jackson's. The boys made a fun craft too...they each made there own door hanger with foamies. I am looking forward to going out in the hot tub in a few minutes too!!! :) What a wonderful week we are having and we are so grateful.

Day 2

What a day! The boys were SO adorable today and had such a great time together. We had a BEAUTIFUL beach day and were able to swim too! We stayed at the beach almost the entire day and David even had fun in the water. This evening, we took a walk to town and got some ice cream with the Jackson's while the Van Berkom family tried out the bikes that we rented. It was truly a fun and beautiful day. Owie has been such a sweet little boy this week and it is so much fun to have him with us this year. We are so enjoying every minute. We ended the night with our tradition of a Settlers game and Dave was victorious. Dave and I had some time just the two of us and we enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. It was a blast. Vacation, Day 1

Today was an absolutely beautiful day and we had a wonderful time. We took a quick swim in the pool when we got here yesterday evening and enjoyed the hot tub too! We had a great time just hanging out, talking and laughing, last night after the kiddos went to sleep and it was a blast seeing how excited all the boys were about our house and being here together. Today we went to the beach and enjoyed the sand. The waves were huge, so we weren't able to swim, but we enjoyed just being there. We came back and took a swim in the pool with the boys and then relaxed the rest of the afternoon. We cooked out and took a walk in the neighborhood and now we're watching the Eagles game (Go Birds!). What a fun day!!! It is so nice to be at the beach when it's almost October! Vacation...here we come!!!!!!

Well, tomorrow morning we leave for a week in the Outer Banks with our friends, the VanBerkom's and the Jackson's. We are so excited and looking forward to some great family time, making memories and just plain fun. We'll try to blog a few times too.

David's 3rd Birthday Party with all of his little friends

We had so much fun having all of David's little friends over to--again :)--celebrate David's birthday. We had all sorts of fun games and food and treats and it was a blast. We love making memories with all of our friends and David loves all of his friends so much!!! The kids painted cars, fished for prizes and just had a bunch of fun together. I love watching the kids play together...it is such a treat. David had so much fun and was so excited all day. My mom was kind enough to come down and help out with Owen (in fact, he stayed with her almost the entire time!) and I would never have been able to organize all the games and activities without her! Thanks so much Mom! Well, David sure is a lucky kid to have three birthday celebrations!!!
