Liam - 6 weeks and the boys

It's so hard to believe that Liam is 6 weeks old already! Aside from some terrible reflux/GI issues, he is doing well. He was 10 pounds, 2 ounces this week and continues to get a little chubbier each day which I love! I love his chubby cheeks...so kissable! :)

The boys and I had a fun time with a little photoshoot...enjoy! I just love these three.

Visit with Aunt Terri, Kaylynn, & Brendon

Yesterday, three of our favorite people came to visit! Terri, Kaylynn, and Brendon came down and K and B met Liam for the first time. We loved getting to see them (David was "super, duper" excited!) and can't wait to see them again sometime soon!

Portraits of Hope

Main Events - Main Line Today - May 2010 - Philadelphia, PA

I am blogging to let all of you know about an annual event, "Portraits of Hope" this Friday evening. It's a silent auction featuring the stunning photography of David Sacks and it benefits my favorite non-profit organization Covenant Mercies. Covenant Mercies supports and helps orphans in Africa through a variety of means. It really is the best organization doing this right now. We've had the blessing of sponsoring two little boys through Covenant Mercies for several years now and it truly is a blessing. Please check out Portraits of Hope and Covenant Mercies at http://www.covenantmercies.org/.

Check out the Main Line Today article that calls Portraits of Hope a "must-do".

James 1:27 "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."

Strawberry Picking

We went strawberry picking last week and we picked some delicious strawberries!!! Mmm...I made a spinach and strawberry salad, strawberry pie, and we can't wait to go back for more!

Owen picked the strawberries and then ate them. :) His basket was almost empty.

Emma enjoyed them too!

One Month Old

Our little Liam turned one month old on Wednesday. I can't believe how time has flown by...it's been a sweet month filled with so much joy. It is wonderful to have a house full of little ones.

Liam is growing! He was 9 pounds, 3 ounces for his one month appointment and the doctor was very pleased with his weight gain. It's a relief to know that he's gaining weight so well, because his reflux is still very bad. We are going to try to up the dose of his medication and see if that helps. If not, we will try another medication. Hopefully, we will be able to get him a little more comfortable. I feel so bad for the poor little guy! He is growing well, though, and he is very strong and almost rolled over yesterday! He's also starting to smile and it melts my heart!

Liam's older brothers are still very much enjoying him which is a huge blessing. They love to kiss him and hold him and help change his diapers and help to burp him. It's sweet and fun to see. Even though I hope that we get a little girl someday, it is a lot of fun being a mom to boys.
Their laughter and energy keep me going! :)

Our three boys

Mother's Day Weekend

This past weekend, Dave took my mom and our family to a resort in Lancaster which has two indoor pools and hot tubs and a water play area for kids. The boys loved it and we had a nice and relaxing weekend swimming, playing games, and eating great food! It was a very pleasant way to spend Mother's Day.

David loved jumping in the water!

Owen loved to kick his feet and pretend he was really swimming. :)

The favorite: the frog slide!

David really tried to learn to swim on his own. He had a hard time keeping his head above water, though, and usually just resorted to swimming under water. We'll have to keep trying to help him to keep his head above water.

Relaxing in the hot tub...my favorite part!

Liam slept while at the pools. It was nice and warm in the the pool areas and he went right to sleep!

Playing shuffleboard
David was actually really good at ping pong! He was able to hit it back and forth with Dave and he had a blast!
Playing games in the game room!
