Fun in the sun!
Today we went to our park again, enjoying the beautiful weather! I am having so much fun with my three boys. I love their joy and laughter and how much they love each other. It is precious and I am grateful that I don't have to miss a moment of their lives. Each day is a gift!
Dave's 35th Birthday
Yesterday was Dave's 35th birthday. We had a small celebration (can't do much with a newborn!). We made special cards and I baked a homemade chocolate cake and frosting with peanut butter mousse filling. (Dave loves chocolate and peanut butter!)
We love you so much and are so very grateful for your life! You are such a wonderful Daddy and husband and we appreciate all you do for us!
Fun with Friends
Yesterday, our friends the Culley's came over for a very fun visit.
They all met Liam and brought us a meal and a baby gift and we had lunch together. We walked to our park for Liam's first official outing (other than to the doctor's or the hospital)! We had such a wonderful time and David keeps asking me when we can see them again.
Thanks Culley family for the wonderful meal and gift and more importantly for your friendship!
Luke is adorable! He has the most beautiful eyes and such long lashes. He and Liam are just 10 weeks apart!!!

Liam's Doctor's Appointment
I took Liam for his second doctor's appointment today and found out that he gained 12 ounces in one week! I couldn't believe it. He went from 6 lbs, 12 ounces last Friday to 7 pounds, 9 ounces today. I was so excited!!!
He was diagnosed with reflux yesterday at AI. He had an ultrasound and upper GI done to rule out some more serious problems that cause frequent spitting up. The more serious problems were ruled out, but he does have a little reflux. So he is taking Zantac just like David. :) But apparently all that spitting up is not affecting his weight gain. He's my little piggy!
Liam's given me a little more sleep the last couple of nights, so I am hoping and praying that continues! We are all enjoying every minute with our littlest.

A little update
We can't believe it's been over a week since Liam was born. Time is flying by. Liam is doing well, but still not sleeping at night. :) We are tired and happy. The boys are continuing to enjoy their new brother and they are also enjoying having Mimi spend a few days with us.
We really miss Dave as he went back to work on Monday and we can't wait for the weekend!!!
Liam has his second doctor's appointment on Friday, so we'll get to find out if he's gaining weight and how he's doing. I think he has reflux and hopefully we can get that taken care of for him. He's a good little eater and seems to be doing very well. We can't believe how strong he is! He can almost roll over when he's on his stomach/back and he picks up his head very well too. He is a lot stronger than the older boys were at this age. We can't wait to watch him grow and see his little personality come out.

Lullaby, Rockabye, Lullaby Loo
I read this poem on a blog and fell in love with it...and it is so true...babies don't keep. So I will enjoy the blissful rocking and lullaby, rockabye, lullaby loo to my little Liam.
by ruth hulburt hamilton, circa 1958
Mother, O Mother, come shake out your cloth
Empty the dustpan, poison the moth
Hang out the washing, make up the bed,
Sew on a button and butter the bread.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She’s up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I’ve grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue,
Lullaby, rockabye, lullabye loo.
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo
The shopping’s not done and there’s nothing for stew
And out in the yard there’s a hullabaloo
But I’m playing Kanga and this is my Roo
Look! Aren’t her eyes the most wonderful hue?
Lullabye, rockabye lullaby loo.
The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
But children grow up as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.
