I have to laugh...
Earlier this week, I got into a little fender bender when I hit a parked car (yes, a PARKED car). Not my finest moment! Anyway, it just happened to be a brand new Lexus whose owner was not too happy with me. I had the kids with me and David was fascinated with the whole process and wanted to know why the lady wasn't very nice. :)
Anyway, this whole week, David hasn't let me live it down and probably won't for the rest of my life. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to park the car he says, "Now Mommy be careful, don't hit any cars." at least a couple of times. Ha, ha, ha! Today, as Dave was parking the car, he told the whole story again of how Mommy hit a car and told Dave to be careful not to hit a car like Mommy did. Oh, too funny. :-)

David and Owen
Well, it's been a week of illness here at our home. David had a terrible cough/cold and went to the ER in the beginning of the week and by the end of the week had another double ear infection. We will be seeing an ENT to see about his recurring ear infections.
Owen developed a very high fever (103.5-104.5) on Wednesday that went up and down through Saturday. We took him to the doctor on Friday and they tried to test for infection, but the test didn't work. So, on Saturday it was yet another trip to the ER for us. The doctors tested him and ruled out a lot of other things and concluded that it was probably viral. The fever finally left him on Saturday, but he came down with a very bad rash yesterday. He was also up all night again, very miserable, so I took him to his pediatrician again today. Sure enough, he also had a double ear infection. The rash let us know that he has roseola which is a virus characterized by high fever, followed by a rash. Good news is, the virus is on its way out!
Hopefully, this is the last illness for a little while!

David's First Race
This morning, before the annual Middletown peach festival, David particapted in a 1k "kiddie run" to raise money for Middletown Athletics. They do a 5k as well and maybe next year Dave and I will run that! He was so excited to be able to race and he looked so cute getting ready.
He did so well! He ran the entire way and didn't stop and finished with a big smile. He received a medal and I think we have a future runner on our hands! :) We are so proud of him for running the whole way without stopping even once.
Our friends came a little late because the race began earlier than expected, so we recreated it and he ran it again!
It was so much fun and he was so cute!!!

Blue Rocks Game
Last night we went to a Blue Rocks game with some of our friends. David was so excited to go to the game, he could barely contain himself! We had a fun night and even Owen lasted until the fireworks at the end...well almost...he fell asleep on my shoulder during the fireworks. :)
Alas, the team did not win, but much fun was had by all!
