Snow Day!

Today was the first true snow day that David's had yet in all of his three years! Hooray!

Last night, Dave and I enjoyed being warm and cozy in our house while the snow fell steadily. It was so beautiful. I love going outside at night during a snow storm, because it's so quiet and still. Dave and I are both kids at heart and I don't know who was more excited about the big storm, me, Dave or David! :)
Today, Dave stayed home to work and we were able to play outside with David. We had a blast! It was FREEZING, but well worth the cold. We made a snowman, had snowball fights, marched through very deep snow and David "helped" Dave shovel the walkways. Because it was so cold, we didn't bring Owen out (and because he still hasn't fully recovered...neither have I!). Maybe by the time he's three, we'll have another one!

The snow came all the way to our wreath!

Blue skies at last!
Gotta love that face!

Okay, so maybe our snowman is a little deformed. It was hard to make, because the snow was so dry!

I'm so glad you all had a wonderful day together. Love the snowman. Ours is still a work in progress.
