Well, today we are all sick with colds...and I seem to be hit the hardest. :(
Owen had his 9 month check-up today and here are his stats:
18.2 pounds
29"
He is in the 75th percentile for his height and only in the 10th percentile for his weight. Tall and skinny. The doctor wasn't concerned about his weight, because he does eat A LOT. She just says he has a fast metabolism. :) He can start finger and table foods and start using a sippy cup (we've already started the finger foods and I think Owen will be SUPER excited to start table foods...he is always looking at our food and wanting some). The doctor was pleased with his development and thought he looked great and healthy!

Fogo de Chao
Busy weekend...but fun times!
Saturday night we had our 2nd annual dinner at Fogo de Chao in Philadelphia with our friends, Keith and Lindy. Another very fun evening. I love going to the city and we enjoyed eating as much meat as we could fit! (I don't think I'll look at another steak until next year!) For those of you who don't know what Fogo de Chao is, it's a Brazilian steakhouse with all you can eat meat! You have a little coaster at your table with a red side and a green side. When you turn it on the green side, people just rush at your table with all different types/cuts of meat until you flip it over to the red side. And you go on like this until you feel like you can't get up from the table!!! Absolutely delicious!!! After dinner, we walked around the city and stopped in a bar to watch the end of the Villanova/Pittsburgh game...talk about an exciting ending!!! Of course, I couldn't resist taking a few pictures and we even stopped in the middle of Broad Street to take a few...! It was fun to take pictures of something outside of our little town.
We do this to celebrate all of our birthdays together. Keith and Lindy - thanks for being such wonderful and fun friends and Happy early/belated birthday! :)

9 Months Old!
Our Owen is 9 months old today! I truly cannot believe how quickly the past nine months have flown by. Here is a little of what's new with our sweet boy:
He now has four teeth! (Top two and bottom two)
He is quite talkative now and communicates by many different sounds...most of them being very happy ones! The only words he says are "Mama" and "Dada"
He loves music. He has from the time he was a newborn. Maybe he will be the musician of the family!
He loves to try to feed himself, although he is FAR from mastering it
He can't figure out how to go from sitting to crawling very gracefully, so most of the time he just calls for me when he wants to get down to a crawling position. It's really funny to see, because he looks so frustrated!
He loves to wave at everyone in sight. It's really cute.
The person (apart from me) who makes him laugh the most is his big brother. He just laughs and laughs at David.
Oh, and he LOVES to eat. He is a bottomless pit!
We love having Owen in our family and we've loved every minute we've had with him. He brings so much joy and laughter into our home.
Happy 9 month birthday, our happy boy!

Don't hate me 'cause I win...
Once again, the March Madness gods are smiling on me. I know next to nothing about college basketball, but every year I come in either first or second place in my "family and extended friends" pool. It drives my brothers and Dad crazy...and it's just so much fun!
I just checked my bracket and I have only one loss and I'm in the lead. We'll see if this year I can once again get extremely lucky and pull out yet another win... :)

My mom always taught me that practice makes perfect!
So, that's what I'm doing...practicing, practicing, practicing. And, the only ones I have to practice on make it so fun! Here's another "practice session". :)

Hilarious
Last year, our friends Keith and Lindy introduced us to Brian Regan via you tube. He is hysterical. I highly recommend the clips on you tube, especially the emergency room and doctor ones. Here is a clip from Letterman last night. Enjoy!

Progressive Dinner
Tonight we had a fun progressive dinner with our small group. We have several friends who live in our neighborhood so we thought it would be fun to try. We started out at our home with appetizers, went to the Dunphy's for a very tasty caesar salad, then onto the Peterson's for some delicous homemade lasagna and finished at the Thompson's for dessert.
Much fun was had by all.
It was so much fun and everything was absolutely delicious! I think it was a success and I'd love to do it again.
My highlight of the evening was the dessert (no one who knows me is surprised!). The Thompson's made their specialty (and my favorite): cheesecake, AND they had a chocolate fountain!!!!!! They had all sorts of treats to dip and I thought I had died and gone to heaven!
What great fun it is to have neighbors who are friends! :)
First course: bruschetta and cucumber bites
2nd Course: Caesar salad...it was a hit!
Main course: Lasagna and what a lovely table arrangement!
Last course: DESSERT! A chocolate fountain...need I say more?!?
I wasn't the only one excited...
Scrumptious cheesecake!

I'm confused...is it Winter or is it Spring?
Another strange week of weather! We aren't complaining, though! We took the boys to the best park around today to take advantage of the fresh air. It was wonderful to be outside! David ran around and enjoyed the park and Owen loved it too. He went in the swings for the first time and loved them! He laughed and laughed the whole time. It was really cute. He also enjoyed sliding down the slides and I think he was just happy as can be to be outside!
David had the time of his life with Mommom and Poppop and Kaylynn. All day long he was telling us all about it. Thank you Mommom and Poppop for being the most wonderful grandparents to our boys! They both love you so much!
Aren't they just the most handsome!!!
