Draw Near

I was so encouraged by this quote. I have recently been very burdened to pray for my three sons, especially the eldest. I read this quote right after a time of praying for them. What an encouragment is was to me to be reminded that I can "open all of my heart to God through Christ, who has opened all of His heart to me in Christ."

Let us draw near. Come with simple faith in the name of Jesus.

"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, and having an High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near." Open all your heart to God through Christ, who has opened all His heart to you in Christ. Remember that to bring Himself in a position to converse with you, as no angel could, in the matter that now burdens and depresses you, He assumed your nature on earth, with that very sorrow and infirmity affixed to it; took it back to glory, and at this moment appears in it before the throne, your Advocate with the Father. Then hesitate not, whatever be the nature of your petition, whatever the character of your need, to "make known your requests unto God." Coming by simple faith in the name of Jesus, it cannot be that He should refuse you. With His eye of justice ever on the blood, and His eye of complacency ever on His Son, Himself loving you, too, with a love ineffably great, it would seem impossible that you should meet with a denial. Yield your ear to the sweet harmony of the Redeemer's voice, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it you. Hitherto have you asked nothing in my name; ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full."

Beach Day...and stomach virus

Today we went to our favorite day trip beach in DE. LOVE IT! It was a perfect beach day and the water was beautiful. David learned how to use his boogie board and ride waves for the first time and he was out there most of the day. The waves were great and the current was a little strong, but not too bad. We had so much fun. We had Grotto's on the boardwalk and enjoyed a few rides at Funland too.

The day took a turn for the worse when we started our trip home. About ten minutes into the trip, David woke up and started vomiting all over everywhere!! We had to pull aside and take apart his carseat and clean everything up as best we could for the ride home. It was a memory we won't soon forget! Everything has now been disinfected and cleaned, but what a mess!

All in all, we had a wonderful day being together and enjoying one of our favorite places to be: the beach!

I love this kid.

Owen in his usual position on the beach. He just can't get enough of the sand!

David riding the waves! He just had such a great time out there.

Oh, and if you were wondering what kind of strange bathing suit Dave is wearing...he forgot to bring his so we had to buy whatever we could find. Kinda funny we think!

Staying Cool...

It has been HOT around here lately. We've been staying cool with trips to the pool and playing in our back yard pool, getting soaked by the hose, and water table. The boys have been really enjoying our little pool and it's been fun for them to go out in the evenings and swim!
We've had so much fun outside this summer and the heat hasn't bothered us at all! Summertime is the best!

David and Owen love playing together. It brings me so much joy to see them together! They are buddies. :)

4th of July Party!

We celebrated the 4th with lots of fun and friends! We had a bbq and then all went to watch the fireworks. We had so much fun and even Asher Jackson came!!!

Sparklers were a hit! Although Owen was a little scared. :)

Two cuties...Kellen and Lyndon who are only three weeks apart!

Waiting for the fireworks!

The necklaces were a hit with the kiddos!
This was so cute. Jake, Mady, David, and Owen all wanted to lay out on their towels and have their juice. So adorable! They actually stayed out there for quite some time too.

Fun in the pool!

Enjoying Owen's water table!
