Welcome Lyndon!

Today, we headed up to the hospital to visit our friends' (and neighbors) new baby son, Lyndon. He was so adorable and just such a sweet baby. Mom looked absolutely incredible after a very long labor! The new family seemed to be doing splendidly.

We are so happy for you Adrian and Meredith! Congratulations and much joy to you!

Ten Years Ago...

...Dave and I said, "I do." He's been my best friend through tears, laughter, joy, sorrow, sickness, health, and 4 children. I really can't express how my life has been blessed by 10 years of marriage to Dave.

What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to strengthen each other in all labor, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in all pain, to be one with each other in silent, unspeakable memories at the moment of the last parting. - George Elliott

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. - Winnie the Pooh

Happy Anniversary, love.

Owen and David's New Room, Part 2

Well, so far so good! They both slept very well last night, with no problems! We are putting them to bed at 7:30 to make sure that Owen gets a full night sleep as he is used to sleeping in later than David.

This morning at about 7:30, I was greeted by a very sweet sight. David and Owen both came out of their room together with their Mickeys and Owen with his blankie trailing behind him. David was saying to me, "Owey D wants to come with me, Mommy." and Owen was saying, "Day-Day (which is what he calls David), Day-Day." and "Mama, let's go! Mama, let's go!" Owen looked very proud to be with his big brother. :) David was telling me how much he loves having Owen in his room. Very sweet and very precious.

We went downstairs and David was trying to take care of Owen the whole time. It's really cute.

David and Owen's new room

Yesterday was a comedy of errors for us. :) We started putting together the beds only to realize that we had only purchased the bed rails without a headboard and footboard! So we need to purchase those, but until then we at least put down their mattresses and their bedding and began the work of redecorating.

Then last night was the big night! Both boys were so excited. David was actually begging to go to sleep! :) But Owen had other plans. He was WIRED and didn't want to sleep. We gave up after about an hour, because both boys are sick and needed their rest. David was heartbroken not to get to sleep with Owen. :) It was a lot of fun though while it lasted.

Today, Owen actually is taking his nap in his bed! It wasn't too difficult getting him to go to sleep. Hopefully, that will continue!!!

Here are some shots from last night:

Our little peanut

I got to see our little peanut again today. He is now about 1 pound, 13 ounces and look healthy! Great news!!! We still don't have a name and are really no closer to a name than we were a month ago...as Owen says, "Uh-oh."

I go back in two weeks and start my weekly biophysicals, so life is about to get even busier! He likes to move a lot, especially at night once I go to bed. :) I am getting more and more excited to meet him and it does feel like the last months are going by so slowly!

We are setting up the boys room this weekend with their new beds and bedding. I am so excited to see it done and I think they will absolutely LOVE sharing a room together. They really have grown into little friends, and it's one of the sweetest things to me to see them play together. David has grown very caring towards his little brother and I know that he will be an excellent help once we have the baby. :)

Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone a happy new year! We enjoyed a fun night with our friends the Jacksons and the Thompsons ringing in the new year.

We are looking forward to what a new year brings (and especially our baby boy's arrival :) )!
