Baby Owen Update
I saw my OB again today and everything is going well. I had another biophysical profile and level II ultrasound on Tuesday and he's just under 5 pounds and everything looks healthy! My OB told me that they will be inducing me at 38 weeks because of my past history. So, a little under 4 weeks to go! I can't believe it's coming so soon...before we know it Owen will be here! We have a lot to do, so we are working hard to take care of all the details. I am grateful to the Lord that so far, Owen looks healthy and my pregnancy is going well. I am also grateful for doctor's who take care of me and Owen. Thank you Lord for your care for us!
First Day at the Pool!
Yesterday David and I went to our pool for the first time this summer! It was so nice to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather and enjoying the cool water. We had a great time together. David, as usual, made a few friends too. :) He loves to play with other children! We can't wait to go back with Dave!
Weekend Fun
We had quite a fun and busy weekend last week with beautiful weather. On Saturday, we went to the Inner Harbor, Baltimore with my family. We went on a boat ride, ate dinner, watched the live music, went to the aquarium, and had a great time together. David especially loved going on the boat and seeing all the fishes and sharks. :)
On Sunday, we took David to the beach and ate pizza and ice cream on the boardwalk and went on rides and played in the sand all day. It was so much fun! We really wanted to take advantage of the last weekend that I was able to travel before Owen comes! David loved playing in the water and making tunnels and puddles in the sand. He rode the helicopters, the trucks, the bumper cars, the merry-go-round, and the train. It was so cute to see him get SO excited to ride each ride.
On Monday, we had a delicious BBQ with our friends the Thompsons, the Goodsell's (all together again!!!), and the Peterson's. All in all it was a wonderful weekend and although we were exhausted by the end of it, it was worth it!!! We were so grateful for the beautiful weather and all the fun memories that we were able to make. I did almost have to go to the hospital on Saturday night with contractions, but fortunately after 5 hours, they went away.
Pictures to follow...

Trip to the Zoo
Yesterday we had a family day and took a trip up to PA and then to the Philadelphia Zoo. It was a really beautiful day and we had a lot of fun with David. His favorite animals were, of course, the lions, tigers and bears! He was growling all day! All the animals were really active and were coming right up to us. David also had a train ride which he was ecstatic about. :) He also liked the ducks in the children's zoo and was leaning over the pond repeating, "Hi ducks, it's me! Come on...quack, quack!" He kept calling for them...Dave and I were cracking up!!! We were able to get some cute pictures...to follow.
Busy, busy, busy!
Well, once again I'm behind on the blog! Happy belated Mother's Day to all the moms! I had a wonderful day with Dave and David. Dave cooked me breakfast and let me sleep in before church. I was awakened by David coming in and wishing me "Happy Mother's Day!" and bringing me flowers and breakfast that Dave cooked. (He makes wonderful french toast!!!) I was freshly grateful for precious little ones that the Lord has given us. What a gift it is to be a mom!
The day before Mother's Day, we had a ladies tea at church and we were pampered and had a delicious tea and two wonderful messages given by Jill Vander Weide, a pastor's wife from Covenant Fellowship. Fibia really worked very hard to bless and serve the ladies in our church and we all had a wonderful time! We are all still talking about the impact of the messages and just how much fun we had being together.
Dave had a very crazy week at work and he was gone from Tuesday through Friday. It was really hard to be away from him again, but we are glad that he is home!!! Work should slow down a little now, so we should have him home for good which I am very happy about!!!! He was able to come back down to Middletown for our first baptism as a church which was such a special time. Six people were baptized including two from our care group. It was a blessing to witness the baptisms and be freshly aware of all that Christ has done for us. It was a special memory for us and our church.
Only a few more weeks to go until Owen comes and my first biophysical profile went very well! Baby Owen cooperated and they even gave me a 3-D picture of him which was so amazing!!! He has chubby cheeks. We cannot wait to meet this little guy!
I hope you all had a blessed week! Keep in touch!
