Roly Poly

It's official! Our Liam has turned into a roly poly baby. :) He is now rolling over both ways and seems to really enjoy it. When he's on his play mat he just rolls around now! I can't believe how quickly he is growing! We love our little roly poly.

PS. Trying to capture the rolling...I think I need my video camera for this! :)

The Lake Family

On Saturday, we had a fantastic morning at our favorite beach and in the afternoon, our very old and dear friends who we haven't seen for years stopped by for a visit on their way to the Outer Banks. We so enjoyed getting to meet their two little boys, Isaac and James and it was so nice to catch up after so long! Hopefully, we'll get to see them again soon!

Owen especially enjoyed playing with Isaac. What a sweet boy he is! Liz and I both took turns taking them for rides around our playground. We were also able to get a group shot using their camera and tripod, so I will be excited to post that when they send us the copy. What a fun afternoon and evening!

The Fair

A couple of weeks ago, we went to the annual fair that comes each summer. We really enjoyed all the rides and this was the first time that David wanted to go on the big rides. The boys loved it and we enjoyed a family night out.

Big Dave felt a little sick after the hang gliding ride...I don't think rides that spin around and go up and down are his favorite. :) However, David absolutely loves them...guess he takes after me!

Abby and Owen

We've had a very busy few weeks! I am way behind on pictures and the blog. :) A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated our special friend, Abigail's 2nd birthday! Abby is Owen's very special friend and it is very cute to see them play together. Abby calls him "Owey" which I think is adorable. We had so much fun at a little girl's birthday!! :) It will be so much fun to see Abby and Owen together at the beach in a few weeks. Happy Birthday, Abby!

Draw Near

I was so encouraged by this quote. I have recently been very burdened to pray for my three sons, especially the eldest. I read this quote right after a time of praying for them. What an encouragment is was to me to be reminded that I can "open all of my heart to God through Christ, who has opened all of His heart to me in Christ."

Let us draw near. Come with simple faith in the name of Jesus.

"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, and having an High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near." Open all your heart to God through Christ, who has opened all His heart to you in Christ. Remember that to bring Himself in a position to converse with you, as no angel could, in the matter that now burdens and depresses you, He assumed your nature on earth, with that very sorrow and infirmity affixed to it; took it back to glory, and at this moment appears in it before the throne, your Advocate with the Father. Beach Day...and stomach virus

Today we went to our favorite day trip beach in DE. LOVE IT! It was a perfect beach day and the water was beautiful. David learned how to use his boogie board and ride waves for the first time and he was out there most of the day. The waves were great and the current was a little strong, but not too bad. We had so much fun. We had Grotto's on the boardwalk and enjoyed a few rides at Funland too.

The day took a turn for the worse when we started our trip home. About ten minutes into the trip, David woke up and started vomiting all over everywhere!! We had to pull aside and take apart his carseat and clean everything up as best we could for the ride home. It was a memory we won't soon forget! Everything has now been disinfected and cleaned, but what a mess!

All in all, we had a wonderful day being together and enjoying one of our favorite places to be: the beach!

three months.

my lili was 3 months yesterday. i love him so. he is full of smiles and coos and baby sweetness. he is my sweet baby boy and i can't believe it's been 3 months since i first held him. david and owen love him so much already and i can't wait to see our three amigos running around together. :)
