"School" Time

Well, this week we started school time a couple of days a week with David. I am really excited about teaching David and trying to make learning fun. We start out with arts and crafts time (that is his favorite part!) and then move onto learning time. So far it's gone pretty well. I'm going to try to do it on Monday and Wednesday each week and some Fridays (although not on care group nights). David was really excited about a new "Hooked on Phonics Pre-K" program we did. It was a lot of fun. David is growing up so quickly...I can't believe it. The picture below is David putting apples on his apple tree. :)

David's 3rd Birthday Party with all of his little friends

We had so much fun having all of David's little friends over to--again :)--celebrate David's birthday. We had all sorts of fun games and food and treats and it was a blast. We love making memories with all of our friends and David loves all of his friends so much!!! The kids painted cars, fished for prizes and just had a bunch of fun together. I love watching the kids play together...it is such a treat. David had so much fun and was so excited all day. My mom was kind enough to come down and help out with Owen (in fact, he stayed with her almost the entire time!) and I would never have been able to organize all the games and activities without her! Thanks so much Mom! Well, David sure is a lucky kid to have three birthday celebrations!!!

We love you our sweet boy! I'll never forget the first time I held you and you looked up at me. It is a moment that will always be with me. You have brought us more joy than we can even describe. You are the happiest, most cheerful little boy in the world! You are always so polite and so grateful for even the little things. You are so filled with excitement about everything you experience. You are very expressive and it is so much fun watching you learn and grow and experience life...you make each day wonderful. Every day I greet you by saying, "Good morning, Sunshine!", and you are a ray of sunshine to all around you. We thank the Lord for you each day and we love being your Dad and Mom. Day Out With Thomas the Train!

After getting permission from my doctor to make the trip to Strasburg, PA, we were able, for the second year in a row, to visit Thomas the train! This year because David was older, we took the train ride and it was like a dream come true for David! He couldn't believe that he was getting to ride on the "real" Thomas the train!!! He loves to play with his trains at home and what fun we had watching him enjoy all the activities. It was a fun (tiring) family day and we were so glad we were able to go again this year. Hopefully, we can make it a yearly family tradition.
