Strawberry Picking!

Today, we went strawberry picking at a nearby farm with the Patton family. What fun! All the boys (and I must admit me too!) ate their way through the strawberry patch. The strawberries were sweet and so red and fresh. We all had so much fun picking our berries and enjoyed some time playing on the farm too. Thanks, Fibia for such a great memory!
I am looking forward to making some strawberry pancakes on Saturday morning. Mmmm...

11 Months Old!

Our littlest is 11 months old today! I cannot believe he is almost 1! I am looking forward to his first birthday party and celebrating our little boy.
Owen is on the move! He is pulling up on everything and cruising around the furniture and cabinets and anything else he can grab onto. :) He will be walking before we know it, I think. He also loves to eat real food. In fact, he is quite expressive about it. If we don't get him his food fast enough, he lets us know! He loves his big brother and laughs and laughs when David talks to him and plays with him. He loves the water and bathtime his a favorite activity in our house. :) He gets into EVERYTHING, so I cannot take my eyes off him for a second. :) He is such a joy and we love him so much. It's like watching a new little person just come to life.

Memorial Day Fun

After a fun-filled, but a little crazy weekend, we had a nice relaxing day today. David has been having a lot of issues (we think severe allergies) with his eyes. He wakes up with his eyes swollen shut and he looks terrible. It's been a rough road for the poor little guy with so many different medications and doctor's visits. We'll be seeing an opthamologist and an allergist this week. Hopefully, we'll get some help for him.
Anyway, after a fun weekend with a bbq, some bocce ball, and fun in the sun, we had a nice and relaxing day today. This morning, we headed over to our friends and neighbors, the Dunphy's, for a big breakfast! It was delicious! Afterwards, we went to our pool for the first time this summer!!! It was a great day and we all had a blast!

Disney - Saturday

Our last day. We went to Epcot and it was hot. We had to keep spraying the boys down to make sure they weren't getting too hot. They both played in the sprinklers and got soaked too. :) Dave and I really enjoyed Mission Space and Soarin. We walked all around the world and enjoyed the beautiful gardens and scenery. It was a wonderful last day. We got to the airport that night, tired but happy and full of wonderful memories. We hope to go back again soon!

Disney - Friday

Today was our last full day and we spent the entire day at Blizzard Beach water park and went to the Magic Kingdom for the evening and to watch the fireworks again. We had a fun and relaxing day at the water park. I did take some pictures, but not many. Too busy! :) They sold these huge ice cream sundaes that came in a bucket and we got one and ate most of it! David was so excited about that. Both boys had a great day because they love the water and you know me and Dave. :) My mom especially enjoyed sitting in the tubes in the big wave pool. We went on our favorite rides again at MK and Mimi bought David some Mickey crocs to match the ones Dave and I had bought for Owen. David LOVES them. We really enjoyed our last night. Tomorrow: Epcot!

Dave went down the water slides over and over and over again!

Disney - Thursday

Today we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios! We started off having breakfast with all the Playhouse Disney characters! We met Jojo and Goliath and the Little Einsteins! This was a big hit with both David and Owen...and the buffet had Mickey waffles. At these meals, they always have singing and dancing with the characters too. Really fun. Next, we had one purpose and one purpose only: to meet Lightning McQueen and Mater. We were not disappointed and David was jumping up and down saying, "I'm in the Cars movie! I'm in the Cars movie!" "This is Radiator Springs!" "There's my friends!" He was ecstatic, to say the least. After, Dave and I went on a couple of fun rides and we headed to the stunt show. David loved this too as it was all car chases, explosions, car crashes and boat chases. He was in awe. We went on a few more rides and then say a Beauty and the Beast show. It was excellent once again and one my mom's favorites. We then went on my favorite ride of the week, the Tower of Terror. It was this old mansion that takes you up 32 stories in an old elevator shaft with the Twilight Zone theme. Then you get dropped in pitch black and windows open up and you see that you are at the top of the tower and they drop you again and then they take you up and drop you again. It was crazy and scary! But, it was sooo fun. After walking around and watching the parade, we went to American Idol. This was the best! It was so real...it was like you were actually at American Idol. They have people try out all day. We went to the last show before the finale. There were three singers, judges, everything. Then you voted and the winner went to the finale at the end of the day. The winner of the finale actually got a free pass to the front of the line at any American Idol auditon! The singers were so good and it was so much fun. My camera ran out of batteries pretty early in the day, so not many pictures. :(
We headed home and Dave and I went to our best dinner of the week at the Flying Fish on Disney's boardwalk. The food was excellent! It was our best meal of the week.
